The Kokomo Perspective

Who would have thought a kitten would teach Jenny about prayer? Certainly not Jenny. She wanted the fluffy white kitten from the pet shop and she prayed for God to help her get it. But when her mother took her back to the store to buy it, the little white kitten was gone.

Jenny is angry and hurt. God didn't listen to her, or she would have gotten that kitten. But Jenny's neighbor suggests that maybe God had other plans for the little white kitten…and maybe He has other plans for Jenny as well. Jenny, of course, isn't convinced and runs off, sulking.

Later that day, however, a kitten very much in need of a home teaches Jenny an important lesson about prayer…and that God always listens.
