Summary: Little Jacob is on his way to visit his great aunt and great uncle when he realizes something horribleā¦he has forgotten his favorite blanket. Jacob holds that blanket close when the wind whistles through the trees in the dark of night. He wraps it tightly around his shoulders in a warm, fuzzy hug when he is lonely or sad. His blanket always makes him feel better. And on this trip to a faraway, maybe scary place, Jacob needs that blanket more than anything.
"We have to go back!" Jacob cries. But his mom and dad say they are too far from home. Jacob blinks back the tears and hopes for the best.
